Belinda's Early Development

Belinda Ortiz began work on an early form of Meliora Meditation over 30 years ago, as she traveled the world studying with a wide variety of spiritual teachers including 3 years studying with a Rabbi in Jerusalem.

The Solar Disc spiritual technology that is the basis of Meliora was passed down to her from a Judaic lineage that traced back to the time of Exodus (Egyptian captivity) in The Bible, the Solar Disc was used to help people adapt to rapidly changing times.

Belinda has always been deeply interested in the practical, tangible aspects of spirituality.

Development of Meliora

Belinda and Erik began work on Meliora Meditation over 10 years ago. The original meditation that had been developed by Belinda required an in-person activation, it required over 100 hours of practice, and the process of learning the meditation was very complex.

Over the past decade, we have taught over 50 classes (online and in-person) to practitioners in the United States, Canada, the European Union and Mexico. This has provided us with a large quantity of feedback on the meditation's effectiveness. This feedback has been essential as it's allowed us to iterate on the meditation in order to enhance its effectiveness, and simplify the process of learning and practicing it. This process has been data-driven.

Our goal has been to make Meliora Meditation available to a mass audience, and not something which can only be practiced by highly dedicated and motivated people.

Design Philosophy

Meliora Meditation draws from a variety of spiritual and neuro linguistic programming (NLP) practices, and is intended to be platform neutral in terms of faith and belief systems.

The base foundation of Meliora is ancient Judaic spiritual technology. So in terms of its metaphysics, Meliora is firmly grounded in Judeo-Christian philosophy and scripture.

Although Erik is a Lutheran has been a practicing Christian all of his life, we have also incorporated Shinto and Buddhist concepts in order to keep Meliora as something that people of all faiths (or lack of faith) can feel comfortable practicing.

Similar to the Reiki discipline, Meliora Meditation was inspired and empowered by the sacred location of Mount Kurama in Japan.

(This was accidental/coincidental -- Erik's airbnb host in Kyoto insisted he visit despite a massive whiskey hangover, leading him to the train and helping to buy him a ticket).

We view Meliora Meditation as a technology, not as a spiritual discipline.

The Meliora design philosophy is that you are the best person to define your own path towards mastery of creative expression, to self-improvement, to enhanced problem solving, to charting the path to your own beautiful and individual dreams. Meliora provides the technology and framework.
